• The Vedant Billing Android Mobile Application (distributed via Google Play Store and direct installation).
• The Vedant Billing Desktop Application (for Windows and macOS).
• All cloud APIs, database synchronization mechanisms, and customer support channels.

2. Information We Collect

To deliver point-of-sale (POS) billing, inventory tracking, and GST reporting, we collect the following categories of data:

• Account Registration Information: Your name, phone number, email address, business/shop name, registered GSTIN, and encrypted password.
• Commercial Billing & Inventory Data: Products, barcodes, prices, stock levels, purchase records, sales invoices, tax calculation summaries, and walk-in customer identifiers (such as name and phone number for invoice delivery).
• Mobile Device & Technical Information: IP address, device model, operating system version, browser/WebView user-agent, application version, and network connection status (used exclusively for API communication and sync diagnostics).
• Support & Inquiries: Details you provide when reaching out via our contact form, email, or WhatsApp customer support.

3. Android Mobile Application Permissions

Our Android application requires only minimal permissions strictly necessary for business operational functions:

• Internet & Network State (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used to securely connect with our cloud backend API, sync invoices, refresh inventory, and authenticate user accounts.
• Offline Local Storage: The app utilizes secure local storage (IndexedDB) to cache catalog data and draft invoices, allowing uninterrupted billing even during intermittent network drops.
• Camera Access (Optional / User-Initiated): Used solely for live barcode and QR code scanning to identify products during billing and inventory lookup. We do not capture, record, or store personal photos or video feeds.
• Storage / File Export (Optional): Used when you explicitly choose to export or download GST invoice PDFs, tax summaries, or Excel spreadsheets to your device.
• Bluetooth / USB (Optional): Used to discover and connect with ESC/POS thermal receipt printers for printing bills.

4. Google Play Data Safety & Financial Disclosures

• Business ERP / Invoicing Purpose: Vedant Billing is a business productivity, billing, and inventory management tool for Indian small and medium enterprises (MSMEs, retail stores, traders).
• No Personal Loans or Consumer Credit: The app does not offer personal loans, credit underwriting, cash advances, or consumer banking facilities.
• No Payment Card Storage: We do not collect, process, or store sensitive payment instruments such as credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or Net Banking credentials.
• No Advertising Trackers: The application does not contain third-party ad networks (like AdMob), tracking brokers, or user profiling telemetry. We do not sell, rent, or trade your business or customer data.

5. How We Use Your Data

• To maintain your store account, calculate GST taxes, and generate compliant invoices.
• To enable multi-device synchronization across mobile phones, tablets, and desktop terminals.
• To deliver automated PDF receipts and transaction alerts (e.g., via WhatsApp or SMS).
• To provide technical assistance, troubleshoot errors, and maintain platform security.
• To verify compliance with Indian tax standards and prevent fraudulent account access.

6. Data Security & Encryption Standards

• In Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
• At Rest: Passwords are cryptographically hashed using standard salted bcrypt. Sensitive business tokens are stored in encrypted format.
• Server Security: Production databases are hosted on secured, dedicated VPS instances protected by strict firewall policies, automated daily backups, and key-only access controls.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Digital Personal Data Protection)

Vedant Billing is strictly a commercial business-to-business (B2B) and merchant invoicing platform. Our service is not intended for or directed towards children under the age of 18 (or under 13 in relevant jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
